IAG / Aust Customs Cargo Advice Notice: 2006 / 13

We have now received the latest Australian Customs Cargo Advice Notice: 2006 / 13. Please refer below.

This notice details the release of the FIRST stage of the process that Industry and Customs have been working on to 'de-link' (my words) the sequential reporting of the Ocean Bill of Lading (OBL) and improve the functionality of the Import ICS system for Seacargo reporting. For Forwarders the SECOND phase will be the most important change which will allow you to report the OBL details before the shipping lines lodge their reports. Customs are now working on this aspect.
