Express Check coming to Sydney International Terminal 3

Effective Thursday 12 September Qantas Freight will extend our popular import Express Check technology into our international Terminal 3 (T3) facility in Sydney.

Express Check iPad kiosks and warehouse technology has been operating in Terminal 1 (T1) since May. Feedback indicates that agents and your delivery drivers have been very satisfied with the reduced waiting times and faster import collection process. I am pleased that import customers at Sydney’s T3 will now also benefit from the new technology.

On Thursday Express Check kiosks will be operational at the front counter in T3 for authorised agents and drivers to view import cargo and produce a collection list. The delivery list will then be automatically pushed through to iPads installed on the import forklifts at T3, for our staff to expedite delivery of your cargo.

If you are already authorised to use Express Check in T1, you will automatically be able to use the new Express Check kiosks in T3. If you are not yet authorised to use Express Check and would like further information, please contact Terminal 3 Manager Jeff Mabey on (02) 9582 1953.

Please ensure your delivery drivers are aware that they will be able to use any Express Check kiosk to view freight available for collection across our four Sydney international locations, but in order to collect freight they will need to generate a Delivery ID on an Express Check kiosk in the terminal where the freight is stored. This ensures that the driver is located at the right freight terminal and is ready to collect their goods.

Qantas Freight aims to deliver excellence in air freight services, and our Express Check technology is one way we are working hard to improve our import collection process and deliver a better service to you.

Kind regards

Robert Brown
