Nomination for Regulated Shipper Consultative Group

The Department of Infrastructure and Transport intends to form a Regulated Shipper Consultative Group (RSCG) - an additional consultative group comprised of shippers, or organisations representing shippers. This will help guide and inform the operational implementation of the Regulated Shipper Scheme (RSS) and enable continued, effective industry to government partnership.

 

The Department has already identified a number of organisations and large shippers and have held discussions with them but want to ensure that they have given everyone an opportunity. If any of our members are aware of any of their customers who they think would make an active contribution to discussions about air cargo supply chain security from a shipper perspective, please ask them to contact the OTS asap.

 

Membership of the RSCG will consist of a mix of ten individuals selected from major industry groups; export associations; industry associations and exporter businesses, with an initial 12 month term of membership. The group will meet quarterly with the first meeting anticipated to be held in November 2013.

 

Recommendations will be considered by the Department along with other suitable businesses and identified representative industry groups. For more information please contact ASAFCWGs@infrastructure.gov.au.
