| US TSA Sets Cargo Screening Deadline - International Inbound |

Dear All, The USA Transportation Security Administration (TSA) have handed down their final determination in regard to the deadline for 100% screening of all inbound cargo ( as per linked notice ). The carriers who take export and transhipment cargo from Australia are currently meeting this requirement by a combination of X-Ray and ETD and for the time being the Australian Aviation Security Program has received approval from the US TSA. It remains to be seen whether ETD will remain as an acceptable screening method in the longer term. Meanwhile the EU is also planning to implement a 100% electronic screening requirement, thought to be in 2014, dates yet to be advise., Please click here to view the Notice: Please advise all concerned.
