Industry Update on Customs Connect Facility - 16 October 2012

As previously communicated, Customs and Border Protection have experienced difficulties with the performance of the CCF since implementation on 23 September 2012. We are aware that any delay in cargo movement has an effect on industry and we are committed to minimising the delays and solving issues as quickly as possible.

We are still experiencing some intermittent processing issues which, on occasion, are causing significant messaging delays. The issues that are causing these delays are more complex than originally thought but investigation of these issues is progressing and incremental changes have been developed and applied.

One current issue being experienced, sees a CCF component timing out. This requires the component to be refreshed, which takes about 30 minutes to rectify. A fix to implement a solution for this issue was implemented last night.
