Australian International Trade and Transport Industry Development Fund Seminar Program
Dear All,
 
As members may recall from previous advice, the financial balance of the former Tradegate Development Fund (TDF) has been transferred into a new trust arrangement for industry called the Australian International Trade and Transport Industry Development Fund (AITTIDF).  As per approval from the former members of Tradegate, the funds were supplemented with the residual financial assets following the voluntary liquidation of Tradegate Ltd. The creation of the Trust Fund has now been completed, including its legal and corporate structure, governance and procedural guidelines for the funding process.
 
A series of seminars in several Australian Capital cities have been organised in order to explain the criteria for project funding to assist the international trade and transport industries. The seminars have been advertised in various national public newspapers and a copy of the advertisement is attached for your further information.
 
Please circulate this advice and the attached notice as you see fit to other parties who you also believe may be interested in attending one of the seminars in order to understand more about the Fund and how to access a grant to develop projects. The following basic criteria will apply:
  1. e-commerce projects in Australia which benefit the commercial, operational, legislative and regulatory processes supporting Australia's International Trade and Transport Industry;
  2. projects in Australia to facilitate Australia's international trade with its trading partners;
  3. projects in Australia that encourage more efficient international supply chain solutions; and
  4. projects in Australia aimed at measurably increasing the level of skills and training in the international trade and transport industry including participants in that industry.
AFIF, along with the other relevant Associations representing the international trade and transport industries is represented on the Board of the AITTIDF.
