16 November 2011 South Korea moves to AMS reporting for HAWB’s – FHL’s required from 01DEC11 South Korea has become the latest country to implement Advanced Manifest Reporting, effective 1st December 2011.
Airlines will be using FWB & FHL messages to facilitate this reporting to Korean Customs.
To ensure compliance for this new reporting requirement, please commence to send FHL’s for all consolidations destined South Korea effective from 01DEC. Particular note should be taken to ensure that all goods descriptions used on FHL’s are an accurate reflection of the shipment contents. The use of generic goods descriptions should be avoided.
