BAFA 2011 - Only 4 Weeks left
to save $$ on Registration Fees

Have you registered for the industry Main Event BAFA 2011 yet?

The Conference Business Program is almost finalised and regular updates are available on the BAFA 2011 website at: www.bafa.com.au

We have recently added to the program a vitally important session entitled: HOW WILL YOUR BUSINESS BE AFFECTED BY THE NEW WORKPLACE LAWS?

With a variety of new laws that have or will be introduced very soon, we have invited Steven Penning, Partner with leading transport Law firm, HWL Ebsworth to present a session to get you thinking about what your business will need to do to meet the new requirements.

Topics covered will include the new National Workplace Health and Safety Laws (in effect from 1 January 2012), Paid Parental Leave and compliance with the Fair Work Act. For each topic HWLE will provide practical advice on your obligations as a business and an employer, an overview on what has changed and an explanation of new terms and definitions.

In addition, we are delighted to announce the appointment of internationally acclaimed BRETT RUTLEDGE as the professional Master of Ceremonies for the program. Brett has conducted MC duties at a CBFCA National Conference in the past and you may be familiar with him. Read all about Brett in the updated Program information on the BAFA 2011 Website.

We will soon be publishing the full speaker program covering the 2 days of the conference.

You can now register for the conference. You can do so on line at www.bafa.com.au or by filling in the form in the attached PDF brochure. This brochure is also available from the BAFA 2011 website.

Early Bird discount ends on 2 May - so you only have 4 weeks left to register before the price increases.

GETTING TO HAMILTON ISLAND
Please note, the conference is being held in the school holiday period for NSW and Victoria and flights to and from the island in this period will be very busy! So please book your flights early !

Both Jetstar and Virgin Blue have daily direct flights from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane direct into Hamilton Island. Alternatively, you can fly to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) and connect to a Ferry transfer to the Island.

GOLF
Golf is strictly limited in numbers this year and spaces are already filling quickly. This game is being held on Thursday 14th July (departing at 11.00am) and the committee expect it will become oversubscribed and that a standby/reserve list will be necessary. If you are keen to join in the golf at BAFA2011, we suggest you register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

If you are interested in sponsoring a golf hole, there are only a few of these still available so don't hesitate to contact the Conference Secretariat to reserve your company team.
