BAFA 2011 Conference Update Early Bird rate extended ! | |||||||||

We are delighted to announce that the BAFA organising committee have agreed to extend the Early Bird rate which will now cut-off at midnight, Friday 13 May! We are however suggesting that you do register as soon as possible to guarantee your accommodation and to book your flights. The Early Bird rates are as follows:

In this Bulletin we are highlighting the conference opening session on Friday July 15th: The Hon Joe Ludwig, Senator for Queensland and Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; Manager of Government Business in the Senate and Minister Assisting the Attorney-General on Queensland Floods Recovery has been invited to deliver a keynote address and in a perfect linking presentation will be immediately followed by: Russell Phillips, Executive Manager of Strategic Projects Division in the Biosecurity Services Group, AQIS. Russell will provide an overview of emerging AQIS reform activity and will address the associated impacts on the international trade sector. The session will focus on structural and legislative arrangements, the development of new systems to support the business; future interface with Customs & Border Protection and implementation of a risk and performance based approach across the whole organisation.
