The Hon Joe Ludwig, Senator for Queensland and Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; Manager of Government Business in the Senate and Minister Assisting the Attorney-General on Queensland Floods Recovery has been invited to deliver a keynote address and in a perfect linking presentation will be immediately followed by:
Russell Phillips, Executive Manager of Strategic Projects Division in the Biosecurity Services Group, AQIS. Russell will provide an overview of emerging AQIS reform activity and will address the associated impacts on the international trade sector. The session will focus on structural and legislative arrangements, the development of new systems to support the business; future interface with Customs & Border Protection and implementation of a risk and performance based approach across the whole organisation.
Event Note: Hamilton Island and the Whitsundays is a family friendly area: Don't forget the conference is being held in NSW and Vic school holiday period, so a perfect opportunity to bring your family for a holiday to a great destination and mix business with family activities.
