The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) has reviewed its arrangements for clearing imported cargo when the Integrated Cargo System (ICS) or key AQIS import systems are not available. As a result AQIS has developed two documents summarising the following :

• The contingency arrangements AQIS will put in place when systems are affected
• How imported cargo clearances will be prioritised
• Your role in assisting AQIS to process cargo

AQIS are providing industry with an opportunity to submit comments and feedback from Monday 9th May to Friday 20th May, 2011.
