Qantas Freight Schedule Changes due to Chilean Ash

Qantas Freight have issued the following important notice regarding the Chilean ash cloud situation currently affecting air services.

As a result of the ongoing effects of the Chilean ash cloud, the following changes have been made to our international and domestic passenger and freighter services:

  • All flights to and from Adelaide and Port Lincoln have been cancelled from 6.30am (local time)
  • All flights to and from Canberra have been cancelled from 12pm (local time).
  • All flights to and from Sydney have been cancelled from 3pm (local time) including our trans-Tasman B767 freighter operations.
  • Johannesburg services will operate with a refuelling stop in Perth until further notice.
  • Inbound flights in the air and not scheduled to arrive at ports affected by the ash cloud until after the above cut off times will be redirected to alternate airports. This includes our inbound freighter QF7554.
  • QF 1, 5 and 31 have been rescheduled to depart earlier today and all customers have been notified.
  • South American services have recommenced with minor delays.
  • All other mainland Australian services will operate as scheduled.
