| Dear ICS Client,
As you are aware, periodic emails are sent to you advising of upcoming scheduled outages or of system difficulties being experienced with the ICS. I am writing to advise you of the improved notification facility that we will now be using for such notifications.
The re-vamped Cargo Support Website now hosts the 'ICS/Cargo Support Updates' facility. This facility has several components including the capability to send e-mails. There is a web page notice board that can be viewed by anyone (the link to this can be found on the right hand side of the Cargo Support website under 'quick links') and, once you have subscribed to the page, you can also receive emails and view any postings via a desk top web feed format (RSS feed) if your computer software supports this. It is a self-managed subscription that is easily updatable as needs arise.
Over the past few months, we have been notifying interested clients of ICS events via emails from both the ICS updates facility and via emails sent from ICS Business Support. The emails sent from ICS Business Support go to a list of email recipients that has been compiled since the early days of the ICS back in 2004. As you can imagine, this list is antiquated, containing many out of date email addresses. It is also laborious to use and update. The intention is to cease using this method of notification at the end of September 2011. You may have already subscribed to our ICS/Cargo Support Updates facility however you are receiving this email because you are listed on our 'old' address list and we want to ensure that no clients are overlooked when we cease to use this list.
Please find following a guide to subscribing to the ICS/Cargo Support Updates facility for your assistance. It is a quick and easy process and should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. Please take the time to register yourself and your office email to remain up to date with any ICS notifications.
