The Australian Federation of International Forwarders has received advice from the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population & Communities (DSEWPaC) aimed to assist members in ensuring fast processing by the Ozone & Synthetic Gas Team of imports held by Customs & Border Protection (commonly referred as Redline imports).
The attached Import Checklist provides as a quick reference guide for documentation that needs to be supplied before Ozone clearance can be granted.
Redline entries include those for the import of air conditioning or refrigeration systems/units that operate on or contain CFCs, HCFCs or HFCs including: vehicles, caravans, motor homes, trucks, agricultural equipment, marine vessels, aircraft, refrigerators, air conditioners, ice makers, slushy machines, oil rigs, etc.
