As part of Federal Government plans to strengthen aviation security, the Dept of Infrastructure and Transport Office of Transport Security (OTS) will be required to implement a new Regulated Shipper Program for aircargo, together with enhanced technical examination of cargo prior to uplift. This will affect all Regulated Air Cargo Agents (RACA's) and their current Transport Security Programs (TSP's).

 

Whilst developing the framework for the changes, the OTS has written recently to the nominated person at all RACA's outlining the proposed changes and to advise that information sessions will be held around Australia during October and November.

 

We have attached a copy of the letter that RACA's would have received from the OTS as a further reminder to ensure that representatives from your organisation make every effort to attend the session/s, to be informed about the plans.

 

Please advise all persons concerned and RSVP direct to the OTS as per advice within the attached letter.
