The MUA have also informed Patrick that the MUA members at Patrick Stevedoring, Webb Dock East are going to strike for a 24 hour period commencing at 0700hr, Friday 21 October until 0700hr Saturday 22 October 2011.

 

The strikes are part of their claim under the Enterprise Agreement.   We are again very disappointed that the MUA is continuing with these disruptive actions.

 

The exact impact is yet to be clarified but it will almost certainly mean a full closure of the facility for the aforementioned periods. Patrick apologises for the inconvenience this will cause our clients and stake holders. We will be contacting our impacted shipping clients directly to discuss the implications of the unfortunate action on their specific vessels.   Further advice will also be distributed to the road transport industry through the VBS messaging system. Please be assured we will be doing all that we can to minimise the negative impact.
