The following advice has been received from Sydney Ports for your attention :
"The Minister for Ports and Waterways, the Hon. Paul McLeay MP, last week announced a move towards regulation at Port Botany as part of the solution for the Port Botany Landside Improvement Strategy (PBLIS).
An industry briefing session was held this morning, Thursday, 6 May, 2010, attracting 200 industry stakeholders including stevedores, industry associations, road and rail representatives, and freight forwarders. Attendees received a keynote address from the Minister for Ports and Waterways, and progress reports from the Port Road Taskforce and Port Botany Rail Team.
The key focus of this morning's briefing was how the Port Botany Landside Improvement Strategy will increase efficiency, consistency, transparency and most importantly productivity at New South Wales' leading container port. This landmark reform will ease daily truck congestion and freight delays - making the entire land supply chain high performing and safe.
Today's presentation slides and overview for industry are now available on the Sydney Ports' website, click here or visit www.sydneyports.com.au.
