Unfair contract terms New legislation commencing on 1 July 2010 will implement
a national unfair contract terms regime which will affect standard form
contracts with consumers including those used in the transport industry.
Contracts for the
transport of persons and movement of personal effects which comprise standard
form terms and conditions are likely to fall within the scope of the new
legislation. All companies entering
into standard form contracts with consumers will need to review those
contracts prior to 1 July 2010 to ensure that all contract terms are valid. |
