This combined Australian Federation of International Forwarders (AFIF) and Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia Inc. (CBFCA) event will not only present industry leaders but has also secured speakers of wider appeal.

The impressive list includes Michael Carmody, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Customs and Border Protection Service, Rona Mellor, Deputy Secretary Biosecurity Services Group and Executive Director, Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service, plus Paul Retter, Executive Director of the Office of Transport Security. From the carrier side, Stephen Cleary, Group General Manager, Qantas Freight and Anthony Randall, Director, Maersk will present their cases for the future growth of the Airline and Shipping sectors.

BAFA 2010 organisers are determined to ensure that the conference has a diverse appeal and have secured Professor Steve Keen, an economics expert who has been very much in the media recently for his dynamic but controversial theories. In addition the appearance of Mark Pearson, Executive General Manager, Regulatory Affairs at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission delivering sage and sobering advice, is sure to be a well attended session.
