AQIS have provided a facility allowing members to subscribe to receive RSS live updates. An extract that follows explains the RSS technology:
What is an RSS feed?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a technology used to create feeds for web pages that are frequently updated. Once subscribed to a particular feed, when the webpage is updated the feed is automatically updated with the most recent and up-to-date information. Feeds are generally used for news and blog websites, but can also be used for distributing other types of information such as the Import Industry Notices published regularly by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS).
The recent AQIS notice to Industry 64-2010 'RSS Feeds Enabled' is now live on the DAFF website at the following link: http://www.daff.gov.au/aqis/import/general-info/ian/10. From here you will be able to read more information about the RSS feeds and follow the link to subscribe to receive the service.
