A notice has been published on ICS Updates and the ICS Home Page advising that Customs and Border Protection has issued a notice following the detection of asbestos in a range of preassembled and pre-manufactured equipment imported for use in Australia's resource exploration and development industry.

It is important that Brokers and Importers are aware of their obligations when importing goods containing asbestos or to ensure their goods are asbestos free.
