AQIS have posted the following important notice regarding permanent preservative treatment certificates.

Due to the unacceptable number of permanent preservative treatment certificates for timber consignments arriving in Australia, AQIS will only accept permanent preservative treatment certificates for manufactured wooden articles, sawn timber and timber mouldings if treatments are performed in accordance with AQIS requirements. The permanent preservation treatment certificate is to be amended to include an additional declaration to provide AQIS with this assurance.
