On Tuesday 24th August, The AFIF Charity Golf Day 2010 was held at the Twin Creeks Golf and country Club in support of Cystic Fibrosis NSW.

With the help of 32 Teams from the Freight Forwarding Industry, big buyers in the Auction, generous raffle ticket purchases and a lively host, Rebecca Wilson, we have managed to raise approximately $20,000.

Cystic Fibrosis NSW representative Sally Shepherd was there to present AFIF with a Thank You Certificate and gave a wonderful speech on what life is like for those with Cystic Fibrosis NSW. It was great to know that the work that the AFIF Committee and the Association's members have put in, will greatly benefit this small but essential charity. With $20,000. Cystic Fibrosis NSW can begin their Personal Training Program and make a difference to many young people living with CF.

The big winners on the day were BCR Australia, taking home first place in the Golf Tournament. They will each receive a free round of Golf at the Twin Creeks course and a great gift pack from Sydney Ports.

Scott Gibbons, aka Mr Sold, conducted the auction which managed to raise more than $9000.00 alone. We thank all those who contributed items and especially those who purchased them on the day. Last but not least we must thank media personality Rebecca Wilson who generously donated her time to host our function. After suffering great losses in her family over the past year, Rebecca was more than willing to help us on the day and share with us her experiences.
