We would like to introduce our AFIF Members to the Women Moving Forward (WMF) mentoring program. Nominations to enter the program close at the end of June and we encourage you to contact the ALC if you would like to know more about this fantastic mentoring program.

WMF is designed specifically for women who work within the Transport and Logistics (T&L) industry and is administered by the Australian Logistics Council (ALC) - www.austlogistics.com.au. WMF is open to all women, in any role, in any geographic location who work within a T&L supply chain.

WMF is run as a 10 week self paced national mentoring program, with women studying one module per week (in their own time) and coming together weekly via tele-conferences to discuss the modules in question and to hear from prominent guest speakers.
Please see modules and study dates below.

As part of the program women receive:

  1. A WMF Information Kit (which explains how the program works)
  2. A My Mentor Kit which consists of 10 CD's, 2 DVD's and a Workbook
  3. 10 weeks of facilitated mentoring
  4. Weekly WMF Newsletters (via email)
  5. Access to weekly tele-conferences
  6. Access to weekly guest speakers
  7. Access to the WMF Mentoring Website
  8. Opportunities to co-chair weekly tele-conferences
  9. Invitations to attend local networking events

Guest speakers include senior T&L logistics directors, managing directors of public and private companies, owners and providers of T&L services and specialists in the areas of self-image, networking and negotiations.

To-date over 150 women representing over 50 companies have taken the WMF challenge.

They are listed on the WMF mentoring website (http://mentoring.austlogistics.com.au ) along with our other supporters and testimonials from ladies who have participated in a WMF program.
