Short Description of the Issue:

Sydney Ports Corporation has again this morning organised for extra traffic management personnel to be on hand within the Pt Botany precinct should delays arise throughout the day. As previously requested Carriers are urged to follow the traffic marshals direction particularly with respect to utilising Simblist Road should delays develop and to not block roads or tenant entry exit points.

Impact of the Issue:

This action continues to be taken as a precautionary and proactive step by Sydney Ports to help manage traffic congestion.

Resolution action: Sydney Ports Corporation will continue to monitor traffic flow throughout the day, employ extra resources & advise accordingly.

Sydney Ports notes Patrick's advice that there are no delays outside the terminal as at 8:21 am and that they have moved resources off ship duties. The monthly Sydney Ports Cargo Facilitation Committee convenes today at 11 am. The SPCFC meeting involves a broad representation across Industry from the overall Ports supply chain. The recent delays at Patricks will be a topic at today's meeting.
