Landside Improvement: New Peak Period Pricing and Performance Management Framework

Australia’s first performance management scheme to reduce congestion at the port landside interface will commence at Port Botany in late 2009, Sydney Ports Corporation Chief Executive Officer Grant Gilfillan announced on June 3 2009.

NSW Ports Budget Announced

Sydney Ports Corporation will invest over $414 million in new and upgraded port infrastructure for 2009/10 which represents the lion share of the total NSW Ports Budget as announced on Tuesday 16 June by the Minister for Ports and Waterways.

 

NSW Premier Announces Budget Infrastructure Program at Port Botany

The Premier Nathan Rees inspected the Port Botany Expansion site on Monday 15 June 2009 and announced the NSW Government’s 2009/10 Budget infrastructure program of $62.9 billion which will be invested across NSW over the next four years.

Rail Performance Reports

Port Botany Expansion Dredging Works Continue

The Port Botany Expansion Project welcomed its third dredge to the Bay in early June. Following in the foot-steps of the Nu Bounty and Leonardo Da Vinci, the De Bougainville dredger commenced dredging on Monday 8 June 2009.
