Pre-Reporting of FHL Data
from
1st September 2009 – Imports to South Africa
.
There has recently been airline communication to the industry for imports
to South Africa regarding customs requirements to pre-report FHL (HAWB
Data) prior to flight arrival.
Effective 01 September 2009, some airlines are implementing the new
requirements.
From this date, FHL messages should be sent for all house air waybills
where the final destination is South Africa.
In the absence of any information you may receive directly from airlines on
this matter, our suggestion is that you transmit your FHL data at the time
of lodging your FWB, regardless of carrier.
On an airline-by-airline, CCN will then ensure the correct message routing
as per the airline and GHA requirements.
