1. CCN - A Key Contributor to the IATA eFreight initiative across the region

As the primary CCS operating in AU & NZ, CCN continues to play a key role in the IATA eFreight program. CCN is working with participants in the air cargo industry to ensure facilities are in place for message transfer required in the eFreight environment.

To answer any questions industry may have, CCN will have eBusiness specialists in attendance at the IATA eFreight Local Adoption Meeting being held in SYD on Tuesday 28th July.

CCN is also the sponsor of the Local Adoption Meeting being held in AKL on Thursday 30th July, and will once again also be in attendance to assist industry with any queries that may arise.

2. MIP - Key to the success of eFreight

CCN is working with major airlines across the region to implement reporting for MIP – the Message Improvement Program.

It is clearly recognised that in addition to data quantity, it is absolutely essential to have high levels of quality of the electronic data. To that end, IATA has introduced MIP as a key component of eFreight.

Airlines are now commencing programs to address data quality issues with their customers to make improvements where required. Prior to this, forwarders can assist by ensuring they respond to all FNA (reject) messages that they receive.

3. Neutral AWB Distribution via CCNhub

The CCNhub NAWB Distribution system is now being used by a number of airlines across Australia as an effective and efficient way to distribute NAWB stock to their agents. The system provides key benefits to both agent and the airlines by providing a single interface with integrated communications, audit trails and reporting.

If you are either a forwarder or an airline and you would like further information on how the system can help you, please contact us at CCN.

4. Exports - Routing of domestic connections on AAE

When completing the routing segment on your AWB for exports with a domestic connection with AaE as first sector, please remember to list the carrier as XM. This will ensure your FWB is correctly routed.

5. FMA Messages

A reminder to all agents that when you send your FWB and FHL messages, always check your system to ensure you have received an FMA message back from CCN. In addition, if you are sending FWB messages to airlines handled by AAE or QF, you should also expect an FMA from them.

As well as viewing your FMA’s in your system, there is also a Gateway Report facility on CCNhub that lists all messages sent and received. For further information, please contact us at CCN.

6. Multiple Airline Web Tracking

One of CCNhub’s many features is a multi-airline tracking facility. This facility allows customers to enter a number of shipments on the one screen, and select the carrier to query for the current shipment status.

The facility can be accessed on CCNhub under:
Airline Functions, Shipment Status, Shipment Tracking
