DESTINATION Hobart, Tasmania Hobart is a city of warm sandstone, bright spinnakers on the water, fish punts at the docks, the slap of halyards on masts, and coffee under the sun umbrellas of Salamanca where the famous Salamanca Market is held every Saturday. The 19th-century waterfront warehouses for which the city is famous once bustled with whalers, soldiers, petty bureaucrats and opportunist businessmen. Now they house cafes, restaurants and studios and bustle with shoppers and visitors.
A HIGHLIGHT OF THE CONFERENCE will be the Conference Dinner, being held at Moorilla Winery. Moorilla winery sits on a private peninsula on the Derwent River. You will travel to Moorilla Winery along the Derwent River, on the classic vessel, the Cartela. Moorilla Winery produces refined cool climate wines. Fruit for these wines is grown in Moorilla's Tamar and Derwent Valley vineyards and selected parcels of fruit are also sourced from other regions of the state. Moorilla is also renowned for its beer production - Moo Brew. This range includes an American Pale Ale; an American Dark Ale; a German-style cloudy wheat beer; and a Pilsner. Moo Brew contains no preservatives and is not pasteurised. The night will focus on fine food, wine and entertainment.
