Did you hear the one about ...
... the application for a Tariff Concession Order (TCO) which was rejected because a Customs Officer was unable to classify the goods that were the subject of the TCO application, using the Identifiable Descriptive Material provided with the application?
Such decisions may be reviewed by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) on a cost effective basis, in some cases, and if successful:
-
The decision to reject the TCO application will be set aside;
-
The validity date of the TCO application will be preserved; and
-
The TCO application will continue to be processed in the usual way.
Where the AAT makes a decision in favour of the applicant, the AAT's application fee of $682.00 is refunded.

Contact us to discuss TCO applications which are rejected, so that together we can determine whether there is a cost effective way to have the decision in your application reviewed by the AAT, with a view to achieving the benefits we have described above.
Please remember that even where 28 days has passed since a TCO was rejected, it may be possible to have the decision to reject the application reviewed by the AAT.
