Disruptions at Sydney Port Patrick Terminal - 16 July

We have received the following advice from Sydney Ports in regard to disruptions to operations which are currently being experienced at the Port Patrick Terminal.

Terminal: Patrick
Date: 16 July 2009
Issue: Temporary disruption to terminal operations has resulted in congestion in the port precinct.
Short Description of the Issue: Between 9.45 and 10.30 am Patrick Terminal was closed due to a labour shortage.
Impact of the Issue: As a result, slots are being back filled and a significant bank up of trucks has occurred on Penhryn Road.
Duration of Expected Delays: N/A
Commencement time of the issue: 9.45 am
Approximate time to resolve the issue: Ongoing
Resolution action: Sydney Ports Corporation's truck marshall is on site assisting with the clearance of trucks from Penryhn Road. Sydney Ports Corporation has also contaced Botany local Police command asking them to instruct vehicles on Penryhn Road to move to the designated Patrick's early arrival truck queue on Simblist Road.
