Following an inititative by the Freight and Logistics Council of NSW (FALCONSW), a centralised national reporting and action project to deal with incidents relating to theft of aircargo has been developed.

The Secure Air Freight project aims to significantly reduce air freight theft and improve overall aviation and personal safety within the workplace and will be conducted by the Australian Federal Police (AFP), Australian Customs and the NSW Police Force.

The project has the backing of the Commonwealth Dept. of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, together with the NSW Ministry of Transport and the NSW Dept of State and Regional Development.
