As it is now a requirement for AQIS officers to check all permit validities in the electronic database, there is now no need for brokers to lodge copies of permits with the documentation forwarded to AQIS either by fax or email.

 

The National Coversheets (http://www.daffa.gov.au/aqis/import/general-info/fax-cover-sheet) have been amended to remove the prompt for the lodging party (brokers) to provide printed copies of import permits and instead the new revised coversheets have a prompt, where applicable, to simply state the permit number.

 

The amended cover sheets are available at the above webpage. Would brokers please also note that AQIS has amended fax numbers for Far North Queensland which are included in the revised version as of the fax cover sheets.
