| CONGRATULATIONS TO AFIF CEO BRIAN LOVELL: 15 Years and Counting |

Brian Lovell, AFIF CEO, was yesterday recognised for his 15 years of Service to the Australian Federation of International Forwarders. During a Board meeting held at the AFIF Head Office in Sydney, The Board of Directors presented Brian with a certificate to mark the occasion as well as a gift of thanks. "Brian's put in 15 years of work to this organisation and that kind of achievement must be recognised." said Paul Golland, AFIF Chairman. Brian has been in the Industry for more than 28 years and worked in a variety of areas within freight and logistics. Originally from the UK, Brian spent his early years in the industry with the Thomas Meadows group at London's Heathrow Airport learning the Customs Clearance and Forwarding business. In 1981, he was offered the opportunity to go to Sydney, Australia and join group company AFA Meadows as a management trainee and he's never looked back. In 1994, Brian was offered the opportunity to take on the challenge of the Federation's first full-time CEO. In 1996 AFAFF joined forces with the Seacargo Forwarders representative body IFAA to form AFIF and Brian was appointed CEO of the merged entity. Brian's experience, leadership, dedication and hard work have contributed greatly to the successful organisation AFIF is today, earning him the respect of many of his colleagues and peers. Brian was visibly surprised and touched by the gesture on behalf of the Industry and the AFIF members stating: " I'm passionate about this industry and I enjoy the work I do, that's why I've been here so long. It's days like today which remind you of what you've been working towards and what continues to drive you. This is why I love this industry, and more so, the people in it! The Directors in particular continue to give so much of their time on behalf of the members and I am fortunate to work with such great support " AFIF would like to again recognise Brian's stellar achievements in a long and fruitful career and on behalf of all members congratulate him on his successes.
