Sigma Announces Strategic Alliance with CargoWise edi

CAMBRIDGE, UK: (February 12, 2008) — Sigma Freight Systems and CargoWise edi have jointly announced a focused strategic alliance to develop and market CargoWise edi’s flagship product in the UK. The alliance combines CargoWise edi’s strengths in the global freight forwarding market with Sigma’s deep knowledge of the UK business environment. The alliance will refine and enhance CargoWise edi's flagship product, ediEnterprise for UK requirements.

Sigma Freight Systems has a rich 20-year history of providing software systems to the transportation and logistics industry in the UK. Jon Course and David Hazlehurst, of Sigma and now shareholders and senior managers of CargoWise edi, remain involved with Sigma's existing customers and will develop a roadmap to integrate the best of Sigma’s FM3 product into CargoWise’s ediEnterprise suite. Mr. Course will manage the customer relationships and consult on UK industry issues, whilst Mr. Hazlehurst will head the development of UK-related product capabilities including customs integration.

The alliance will benefit Sigma and CargoWise edi customers globally by providing UK forwarders, customs and logistics service providers’ with access to the global products and services offered by CargoWise edi.
