2009 AFIF Conference

The end of 2008 is fast approaching and planning for 2009 has well and truly begun.

So make sure to include the 2009 AFIF Conference in your diaries . The details for the event are:

AFIF Annual Conference 2009
6 - 8 May 2008
Hotel Grand Chancellor
Hobart, Tasmania

Tasmania is often thought of as cold, quiet and tame, but the AFIF 2009 Conference certainly plans to show you why this city is fast becoming one of the most popular holiday destinations in Australia.

Tasmania, and Hobart in particular has an amazing amount to offer. A few things that the fascinating city of Hobart has on offer:

  • Mild and sunny weather in May with temperatures of around 17 degrees during the day. Hobart is one of the driest cities in Australia so the chances of rain spoiling your visit are minimal.
  • Cascade Brewery - Australia's oldest brewery where we will be hosting one of our many functions, with tours also on offer
  • Enjoy a round of Golf with friends in your leisure time or enter a corporate team in our Tournament at the Tasmanian Golf Course
  • Take in some tradition during your visit and enjoy the heritage of the English style 'pubs'
  • Fresh produce, abundant seafood and world class restaurants
  • Visit Mount Wellington: rising above Hobart with over 1200m of natural beauty and spectacular views, as can be seen below
  • Try your luck at the Hobart Casino
  • Don't miss the famous Salamanca Markets on Saturday - considered to be one of the best markets in Australia

Over the course of the next few months, we will be providing further details on the Conference and even more highlights of Hobart which cannot be missed!

Registrations begin February 2009.
