Qantas Sydney Freight Terminal 2 -
Trial of new safety procedures

Qantas are currently trialing new safety and traffic management procedures at their Sydney Freight Terminal No.2 and will be involving the industry in the process.

Please refer to the attached notice from Qantas issued today
http://www.afif.asn.au/pdf/2007/news/qantas_traffic_management.pdf

There has been some mis-understanding during the commencement of the new trials and having visited T2 to discuss the issue with Qantas Terminal GM, Bob Lugton, I can confirm that Qantas would welcome a group of users and operators to assist in the process of developing the right mix of safety and practical efficiency in the facility.

If you would like to consider nominating a suitably experienced and senior member of the driving or operations fraternity within your operation, then please advise the undersigned and we shall assist in coordinating the meetings with Qantas. Numbers will be limited so we need individuals who will be able to add significantly to this process.

Kind regards
