1. CCN to launch new facility to improve management of NAWB numbers

From early 2008, a new facility will be available for CCNhub customers in Australia that will allow forwarders to request their NAWB numbers on-line. By requesting your NAWB numbers on-line, you can eliminate the current phone calls, emails and faxes that are required to obtain NAWB numbers from the airlines. There is also the added benefit that the history of all requests and the airline replies are kept in the one place for easy access.

If you would like to receive a Fact Sheet once the new service is available, please contact us and we will keep you informed.

  2. CCN role in the first e-Freight pilots

As an IATA Strategic Partner in the Simplifying the Business initiative, CCN is playing an active role in the eFreight program. A significant milestone in the industry took place last month with eFreight pilots commencing between selected cities.

CCN in Singapore worked closely with a number of airlines, forwarders and CTO’s involved in the Singapore pilot. As further pilots commence across the network, CCN will continue to work closely with the industry to deliver eFreight solutions.

Further information on eFreight can be obtained at http://www.iata.org/whatwedo/cargo/efreight.htm or contact us here at CCN Customer Support.

3. Are you preparing for e-Freight?

Although dates have not yet been set for Australia to participate in eFreight pilots, ensuring the highest possible data quality for the FWB and FHL messages you send, is an active way that agents can prepare for the eventual move to an eFreight environment.

By always sending FWB and FHL data, and monitoring your FMA and FNA responses, you can help to improve the quality of data being submitted. A perfect way to monitor your response messages is via the Gateway Report function on CCNhub.

For more information on Gateway Report or FNA response messages in general, please contact us at CCN Customer Support.

4. Cargo 2000

As the Cargo 2000 program continues to gain pace here in Australia, CCN is pleased to play a role in promoting the C2K quality program. CCN participates in local associations across the network, including here in Australia.

Through 2008, we look forward to bringing you more information on Cargo 2000 and associated programs, and demonstrating the benefits these programs can bring to your business.
