ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation at the venue is still available on all nights, but is filling fast. If you plan to come to the conference, please let us know the dates you require as soon as possible so we can secure your accommodation.
GOLF
The AFIF Annual Trophy tees off at 11.30am on the morning of Wed 23 May. It is a shotgun start, so you will need to be ready at the venue at this time. You can fly directly into Cairns on the Wed morning (if you don't mind a very early start to the day!), but if you plan to arrive on the Tuesday night, please let us know ASAP so we can make accommodation arrangements for you.
SOCIAL PROGRAM
The social program is to be a great highlight this year. We have had many questions about the dress code for these events.
Welcome Reception: (sponsored by Qantas): This will be outdoors, so bring a jacket. Dress code is smart casual.
Happy Hour: (Sponsored by US Lines). This will be held later in the evening, before heading out to dinner for your free evening. It will be held poolside, and there are some fun surprises in store.
AFIF 'Grease' (the Movie) Dinner (Sponsored by EDI): The dress code is in keeping with the 'Grease' theme: Jeans, white shirts, leather, black pants, slicked back hair and for the girls - go skirts and shirts, or tight leather pants! Just have some fun with it, but make sure your dancing shoes are on, and you know all the words to the songs!
SPEAKERS AND PROGRAM
An exciting line up awaits you at the conference this year. A highlight is the management issues that will be focused on from an internationally renowned invited speaker - Jonar Nader. Jonar is a speaker, in demand from large multinational corporations, and his sessions are sure to generate conversation, and controversy and give you something to take back to your office team. This is the opportunity to hear from a high profile speaker who we have been fortunate enough to secure for our Conference. For all those registered by the 10 May, 20 delegates will be randomly selected to join Michael Carmody, CEO of Australian Customs, for breakfast on Thursday 24 May. This is an opportunity to talk one on one with Michael and ask the questions you want.
