Container Logistics Action Group (CLAG)

Dear Firstname,

The Container Logistics Action Group (CLAG) was formed by a leading group of domestic transport interests, as a result of perceived inefficiencies at the wharves.

The CLAG group has been successful in obtaining a ruling from the ACCC to enter into discussions with the Stevedores on certain issues relating to VBS/time-slotting, storage, and days of "free" availability, to name a few.

The CLAG has provided vital information to the NSW Government IPART review into the NSW Port interface. Members of CLAG include Transport Companies, Freight Forwarders & Customs Brokers.

AFIF Board has agreed to be a financial supporter of CLAG as it believes that their cause is in the interests of improving waterside p rocesses for all port users, including AFIF's members and is relevant and significant in this regard.

We shall keep members informed of developments in the IPART review.

Thank you and kind regards,

Elton McKay
